Terms of Use

These starter terms describe the current operating rules for Outliers.social. They are intended to be clear and updateable as the product develops.

Accounts and responsibility

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in methods secure. Do not impersonate another person or use Outliers to mislead readers about who created or approved content.

Your content

You keep ownership of posts, comments, profile information, and publication material you submit. You give Outliers permission to store, display, distribute, and moderate that content as needed to operate the service.

Outliers is built for human-written work. Limited tools for translation, grammar, and clarity are acceptable, but submitting generated work as original human writing is not.

Publications and editors

Publication editors and editors-in-chief may review, revise, approve, reject, organize, publish, or remove publication content according to their role. Writers should review publication expectations before submitting work.

Moderation and deletion

Outliers may limit, remove, restore, or retain records of content when needed for moderation, safety, legal requests, or service integrity. Authors may delete their own eligible content, but moderation and audit records may remain.

Prohibited behavior

Do not use Outliers for spam, harassment, hate or extremist advocacy, plagiarism, copyright infringement, impersonation, exposure of personal information, or attempts to disrupt the service.

Availability and future changes

Outliers is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Features, policies, and limits may change as the service develops.

Outliers does not currently integrate advertising. Future subscriptions, sponsorships, or advertising may be introduced with updated disclosures and appropriate controls.
