Outliers.social

Privacy Policy

This starter privacy policy explains the data Outliers.social currently uses to run the service. It will be revised as product capabilities change.

Account and profile data

Outliers stores account identifiers, email address, sign-in account records, session records, username, display name, profile image, and optional profile biography. Connected providers may supply account data used for authentication.

Public content

Published posts, comments, profile information, publication pages, stars, follows, and related public activity may be visible to other users. Drafts and unpublished submissions are not treated as public engagement content.

Reports and moderation

Reports, review status, moderator notes, deletion reasons, and audit records are stored to support safety, appeals, and service integrity. These records are restricted to authorized moderation workflows.

Sessions and security

Outliers uses cookies and session records for authentication and may use request information such as IP address for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and operational security. These controls are essential to operating the service.

Optional analytics

Outliers records aggregate views and reads for visible published posts to understand platform health and creator activity. It does not record draft views as public engagement.

Signed-in users can opt out of optional analytics from profile settings. The browser also stores that preference locally so optional post traffic events are skipped before they are sent.

Deletion and questions

Authors can remove eligible posts and comments through available product controls. Full account deletion is not yet self-service; contact the site operator while that workflow is being completed. Some moderation and security records may be retained where necessary.
